The Alt Stazione del Gusto, a collaboration between Enilive and the Niko Romito Academy, has opened its doors in Ostia, Italy. Located in the historic service station in Piazzale della Posta, just a stone’s throw away from the Ostia pier and Lungomare Paolo Toscanelli, the store offers a menu that ranges from breakfast to dinner with a variety of dining options available for both in-store or take-out consumption.
The innovative catering format is part of Enilive’s transformation into mobility points where people can find products and services to simplify their lives while on the move. Stefano Ballista, CEO of Enilive, stated that the collaboration with the Niko Romito Academy is part of Enilive’s process of renewing and expanding its offer of services in its network of over 5,000 sales points in Europe. The next openings of Alt Stazione del Gusto are planned in main Italian and European cities.
At the station it is also possible to pay postal bills and use special lockers to collect parcels. Chef Niko Romito is known for his gastronomic research and sensitivity and his ideas transformed Enilive petrol stations into delectable experiences by applying his creativity and technique. The menu at Alt Stazione del Gusto features dishes made from high-quality ingredients that are locally sourced when possible.
The store’s interior design was inspired by the sea and its colors reflect this theme throughout the space. Customers can enjoy their meals at tables or on comfortable couches while watching live cooking demonstrations by chefs from Niko Romito Academy. The store also offers take-out containers for those who prefer to dine outside or on-the-go.
