The Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative of Northern Ohio is hosting a Research Equity, Accessibility, Diversity, and Inclusion Research Policy Impact Series event on Thursday, Feb. 22, from noon to 1 p.m. During this session, David W. Baker, executive vice president of healthcare quality evaluation and improvement and editor-in-chief of the Joint Commission Journal on Quality and Patient Safety, will be the featured speaker.
Baker will discuss the Joint Commission’s standards for healthcare equity accreditation as it relates to the Translational Science Benefits Model, with an emphasis on standards and guidelines. This is a rare opportunity to learn about how the Joint Commission is working towards promoting equity in healthcare.
