The Croats emerged victorious in their match against Armenia with a score of 1-0, but the best chance to score lay with Armenia, according to colleagues from the portal Blic.rs. Following Croatia’s win, headlines on various portals read: “The end of the European qualifiers went well for Serbia: the Croats they got through and are going to the EURO,” “Croatia at the European Championship: ‘Vatreni’ won a visa to Germany with great difficulty,” and “The best individual on the field was Ognjen Čančarević.” However, some portals expressed clumsiness in their headlines, such as B92 which wrote: “Serb on Maksimir tormented Croatia, but the ‘fiery’ are going to the Euros.”
On Bosnia and Herzegovina’s sportsport.ba portal, colleagues were in a better mood and wrote: “The best when it’s the hardest – Croatia checked their ticket for the Euros in a packed Maksimir.” Despite differences in opinions on other portals, it is clear that Croatia has earned their spot in the big competition in Germany.
