Recently, Idemia’s national security services subsidiary demonstrated its ID2Access biometric access control technology to officials from the U.S. Army and Department of Defense at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama. The demonstration was part of Idemia’s contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to provide security technology for the military base.
During the demo, ID2Access was shown to allow for identity verification of visitors, personnel, and residents without requiring them to visit the Visitor Control Center at Redstone Arsenal. Additionally, facial recognition technology was showcased as an innovative solution that can detect multiple occupants in a vehicle passing through the site’s gates.
Patrick Clancey, CEO of Idemia NSS, expressed excitement about the opportunity to demonstrate the value of ID2Access to Redstone Arsenal. He emphasized that Idemia is committed to providing a solution that secures access and movement while minimizing traffic and delays on the base.
