The Milwaukee Bucks are finally starting to look like the team they were expected to be. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard are building great chemistry, and the Bucks have switched back to their drop defense, which is making them better on both ends of the court. This was on full display on Monday night when the Bucks beat the Washington Wizards, with Giannis scoring 42 points on 20-of-23 shooting, grabbing 13 rebounds, and dishing out eight assists.
It’s easy to forget that it’s still early in the season and that teams need time to gel. However, the Bucks are using their soft schedule to find their footing and they are starting to look like a real threat again. There are still a lot of questions left to answer, such as Khris Middleton’s health and role, but if the Bucks can continue to improve, they could be a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference.
