As a journalist, you have been invited to take part in a 15-minute research study on science-based communication. The aim of the study is to understand how journalists evaluate and report on social science research. Your input is essential in developing best practices for communicating scientific information.
There are two compensation options available: either no compensation or a $20 gift card. If you choose the latter, you will receive an email from the University of Alabama with instructions on how to redeem the card, typically within 3 weeks of participation.
If you know any industry contacts who are also journalists or journalism students, please share this email with them.
The survey should only take approximately 15 minutes to complete, and your individual responses will remain anonymous and your privacy will be respected. The results of the study will be used to inform further research on best practices for communicating scientific information and will be reported in scientific publications and presentations.
This project is being conducted by Dr. Alexa Tullett’s social psychology laboratory at the University of Alabama, with support from the National Science Foundation. Your participation is greatly appreciated, and thank you for your time and insights as a journalist.
