As the winter season approaches, ski enthusiasts across Missouri are eagerly anticipating the start of ski season. Hidden Valley Ski Resort in Wildwood is among the several ski resorts in the state, preparing for the upcoming season.
Tony Santora, general manager of Hidden Valley Ski Resort, has been hard at work this summer getting the resort ready for its guests. The resort underwent necessary inspections and is now set to open for the season. Santora explained that they make all their own snow and it takes about four days of continuous snowmaking to make enough to open.
The snowmaking process at Hidden Valley relies on a wet bulb temperature to determine when they are able to make snow. With temperatures dropping and conditions becoming colder, Santora says that they are well on their way to having enough snow to open for skiing and other winter activities.
As they prepare for the start of ski season, Hidden Valley’s staff is being brought on board and beginners can also take advantage of lessons offered at the resort. With skiing, snow tubing, snowboarding, and lessons for beginners, there is something for everyone to enjoy at these Missouri ski resorts.
As we move into winter season it’s exciting time for people who love winter sports . Hidden valley is among many resorts that are gearing up for this special occasion . People from all over Missouri will be flocking these resorts to experience the thrill of winter sports .
