Bernie Clarke, a dedicated volunteer at the Lake Placid Ecumenical Food Pantry, was seen hard at work on Monday morning. He was manning the stuffing station of the Thanksgiving bag assembly line, and he was not alone. A group of volunteers gathered at St. Agnes Church to dedicate over an hour to packing bags for those in need.
Linda Young, the organizer of the event, estimated that they would distribute around 275 bags of food throughout the day. The community’s support and dedication to helping those less fortunate were evident in their tireless efforts. The volunteers worked together seamlessly to ensure that everyone received a Thanksgiving meal.
