rEvolution Sports Marketing Group recently announced the launch of its soccer-specific division, rEv United, with the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America serving as their inspiration. The Chicago-based agency has a wealth of experience in soccer, having worked with notable organizations such as MLS, FIFA, and Concacaf. Additionally, earlier this year, rEvolution became Ligue 1’s agency of record in the U.S.
Bruce Bundrant, SVP at rEvolution, is leading the new division. Bundrant has a strong background in soccer and has previously worked at organizations like Relevent Sports Group, AS Monaco, Liverpool, and DC United. According to Bundrant, rEvolution plans to make several hires focused on soccer for the new division to further strengthen its capabilities.
rEvolution aims to expand its business by serving both soccer properties and brands. With numerous teams, leagues, tournaments, and other entities in the soccer landscape today, Bundrant believes that rEvolution can help brands navigate this complex environment effectively.
Marketing agencies are fiercely competing to position themselves well to win the business of brands looking to capitalize on the 2026 World Cup’s unique opportunity. According to Bundrant, there is currently significant competition in this space from both international agencies and U.S.-based agencies focusing on soccer-specific divisions.
Other notable moves have been made in the soccer marketing space this year as well. For instance, GMR Marketing launched a dedicated division called GMR FC while For Soccer Ventures acquired Gilt Edge Soccer Marketing. These developments demonstrate how competitive and dynamic the field is becoming as more brands seek out opportunities to connect with soccer fans worldwide.
