The Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department and the village of Saranac Lake are excited to announce that the 10th annual Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Truck Parade and Tree Lighting will be returning this Friday, December 1 from 6 pm to 9 pm.
The event kicks off with a fire truck parade, where area fire departments will gather together in the spirit of unity and collaboration. The parade route will take fire trucks from Broadway to Main Street, featuring a very special guest – Santa Claus.
Following the parade, the festivities continue with a tree lighting ceremony in Berkeley Green from 6:15 to 7:15 pm. Santa will take center stage, lighting the tree while everyone is invited to join in a festive holiday sing-along with Northern Lights Choir. Warm cookies and hot cocoa will be available next to the bonfire.
Kids will have an opportunity to visit Santa from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Saranac Lake Free Library. Children are welcome to share their wish lists with Santa and capture the moment with a photo.
At 7:30 pm, a magnificent 40-foot tree donated by Moody Tree Farm will be illuminated in Riverside Park. This event is made possible by the support and collaboration of several valued organizations including Women’s Civic Chamber, Saranac Lake Free Library, Adirondack Health, and Northern Lights Choir.
Area fire departments, businesses and organizations interested in entering a vehicle into the parade are welcome.
