Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is not just known for his talent on the field, but also for his big personality. Much of his personality may have come from his mother, Donna Kelce, who is famous in her own right for her famous chocolate chip cookies.
Donna Kelce, 71, recently discovered a mug that caught her attention, emblazoned with the words “It’s Mama Kelce’s world and we’re just living in it.” She loved it so much that she purchased 20 of the mugs as Christmas gifts for loved ones.
These mugs are no ordinary mugs. They contain the entire recipe and directions for Donna Kelce’s cookie recipe and sell for about $18. In fact, after the mug caught Donna’s eye, Annie Stowe, owner of Annie’s Barn, reached out to her and asked if she would donate her cookie recipe to the project. The mugs sold enough to pay off roughly $2,000 in lunch debt at a school in the Kansas City area in just two weeks.
Stowe told People that Donna Kelce has not yet responded to her request to help deliver the checks to the schools. However, Stowe reportedly plans to deliver checks to Pawnee Elementary in Overland Park, Kansas as well as two schools in Olathe, Kansas.
