The Oasis de Atacama project, located in the Chilean Atacama desert, is set to become the largest solar and storage project in the world. Built in five phases and expected to be fully operational by 2026, it will have an installed solar capacity of 1GW and a storage capacity of 4.1GWh.
Ingeteam has been active in Chile for over ten years and has supplied its technology to 68 solar power plants. The company recently signed a power purchase agreement for the fourth phase of the Oasis de Atacama project, which will add 260MW of new solar capacity and 1.1GWh of new storage capacity to the existing infrastructure.
