An abandoned house in Dubrava caught fire in the afternoon, prompting a swift response from JVP Zagreb. The fire was reported to the Zagreb police at around 15:00 on Avenija Dubrava. Upon receiving the report, JVP Zagreb dispatched its team to the scene at 15:07, following a report of smoke emanating from an abandoned building.
Upon arrival, the firefighters confirmed the report and immediately began to extinguish the fire on the first floor. Despite their best efforts, they were unable to locate anyone who had been living in the abandoned space. After successfully putting out the fire, they searched the premises but found no sign of life.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it is believed to have started on one of the upper floors and quickly spread downwards due to poor ventilation. The abandoned house posed a significant risk to neighboring properties, as well as nearby pedestrians and vehicles on Avenija Dubrava. The fire was quickly brought under control by JVP Zagreb’s brave team of firefighters, who worked tirelessly to prevent further damage and ensure everyone’s safety.
