Napoleon High School Robotics Team, known as The Triple Triangularity, has received an invitation to compete in the VEX HS World Championship in Dallas, Texas. This tournament will take place from April 24th to 27th and will see the team, 40684D, competing against over 800 teams from around the world.
The VEX Robotics World Championship is presented by the Northrop Grumman Foundation and the REC Foundation and brings together the top VEX IQ Robotics Competition, VEX Robotics Competition, and VEX U teams to compete and celebrate their achievements. This marks the second consecutive year that Napoleon High School has had a team qualify for the World Championship.
Adam Draa, the Math/Science/Technology Teacher and STEM Coach at Napoleon High School expressed his pride in The Triple Triangularity’s success. With a record of 55-28-1 in the regular season and several awards this season including Tournament Finalist Awards, Tournament Champion Award, Design Award, Innovation Awards and Skills Champion Awards; The team has shown exceptional dedication and skill. Coach Draa looks forward to watching them showcase their skills on a global stage at the upcoming championship.
At the State Championship held at Kettering University in Flint, Team 40684D achieved a notable score of 307 which raised their global ranking to 395 out of over 11,000 high school teams worldwide. Their success can be attributed to their hard work and commitment to robotics. With the upcoming World Championship in Dallas on the horizon, The Triple Triangularity is ready to take their skills to new heights and compete against some of the best teams in the world.
