Piedmontese, a beef brand, was affected by the tornadoes that hit the area on Friday. Nick Lahm, Director of Operations for Piedmontese, shared that he witnessed the tornado from a safe distance as it picked up vehicles and caused damage to the warehouse. The priority for Lahm and his team was ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone present. Despite their readiness, the proximity of the tornado to their location was unexpected.
During the storm, one driver was out on routes but managed to return home safely. The warehouse lost power temporarily, prompting the team to relocate inventory to a refrigerated area until power was restored by Lincoln Electric Systems. Workers cannot fully resume their duties until contractors and the USDA confirm the facility’s safety.
Despite this setback, Lahm expressed gratitude that everyone remained safe and is aiming to resume business operations as soon as possible. He thanked his team for their hard work and resilience during such a challenging time. Lahm also emphasized that Piedmontese will continue to prioritize its customers’ needs and ensure that they receive high-quality products in a timely manner.
The aftermath of the tornado has been challenging for Piedmontese and other businesses in the area, but Lahm remains optimistic about their ability to recover and thrive in the long run. He encourages his customers to remain supportive of local businesses during these difficult times and pledges to do everything in his power to continue providing excellent service and products at Piedmontese.
